Why we exist
In 2019 an idea was born when the two founders discovered their (unusual?) common interests: chemical engineering and machine learning. It started off as a proof-of-concept by supervising a masters thesis. Over the course of five more years, the concept was developed into a complete product, StellaR. Together with the aggregate of 40+ years of experience in the chemical industry, and the development of other softwares such as OptiVane, the co-founders decided to package their solutions and form Turing & Davies AB.

The initiatives of using data to leverage the operation of industrial processes are not few. Yet we see the industry lagging behind other markets when it comes to profitable implementations. At Turing & Davies we have realised that the amount of domain knowledge is almost certainly the core reason for failure when it comes to utilising data and data science in this field. With a firm foot in classical chemical engineering we understand the processes as well as the industry needs. This is what sets us firmly apart from most competitors.
